[0.5] Recovery? Why in the hell do we declare recessions based on dynamic definitions of more interest to investors than workers?  Using current defnitions -- which are based on the presence or lack of economic growth, no matter how pitiful, we could throw half the labor force out of work permanently and pop right back out of that recession.

Repeat after me: When you have 26 million or so unemployed and underemployed people, and lots more who have fallen off even your most comprehensive measures, you are still in a recession.

[7.5]  Gee, I'm glad that inflation is so moderate.  Too bad that moderate inflation seems totally unrelated to my grocer shopping.  Or, for that matter, my utility bills and the cost to fill up the tank so I can go to my (temporary and benefit-free) job/job-hunting.  I guess low-inflation is a great reason for everybody to raise prices.  Wish I could remember exactly what low inflation means.

You can buy dee-vee-dee players on the cheap.  What?  You can't eat a dee-vee-dee player or use it to run your car?  Sucks to be you then!
