Hey, I was wondering the other day, third-planet-from-the-sun wise, what research has been done relative to the interesting patterns of distribution of land masses on earth?  I first noticed that that distribution doesn't appear to be random when I gave my youngest son a world map that was labeled "upside-down," several years ago.  I've been thinking about it ever since. Of course, there is no "upside down" in space, but when you take a fresh look at our planet's geography from the opposite perspective we normally take, you see a consistent pattern of the continents being narrow toward what we call the South, and massive toward the North (Austrailia is a minor outlier, but it's about as much a continent as Pluto is a planet, imo).

Since land mass is an order of magnitude denser than the oceans, you can see that there's a huge skew in the distribution of mass on the earth toward the "North"  that makes us very "top" heavy.  What's going on?

It's as if there's a gravitational pull somewhere "above" our North pole that's pulling all that solid material in that direction (albeit in a very slow, continental-drift-speed rate).  Is there a dark matter concentration "up" there?

    •  If you look at the eight major plates (0+ / 0-)

which are presently floating on a hot fluid mantle divided into an upper and lower part at about 2/3 of the earth's radius down from the crust, taking into account an electro magnetic field presently undergoing pole reversal andf accept the convection around the ring of fire is partially influenced by the amount of water carried down in subduction zones then perhaps the direction of flow causes the effect the way molten glass dripping from a ponte stick in a kiln is heavier where gravity has pulled it from the gather.
