  •  I know many people who own guns and not a single (7+ / 0-)

one of them owns them because they are afraid.

However there is no reason to support the AWB except for misplaced fear. I can only assume that you are against it.
Am I correct in my assumption?

What an extraordinary pile of bullshit you've written there!  You've outdone yourself, bravo!

the number of murders that bare hands are.

Perhaps you should insist that everybody must wear boxing gloves at all times.
Why not? Has about as good of a chance at passing as the AWB.

They serve a person well their whole lives.  The list of things a person can accomplish with his or her bare hands is literally endless.  We have phrases like "I built this with my own two hands".  We "lend a hand" to help other people.  We show our appreciation for something by giving that thing "a hand".  Yes, sadly people can also use their hands for killing.

          Assault weapons are used for....

          um.....

keeping teams of wild pigs from eating corn?

and shooting up classrooms full of students, or churches full of worshippers, or theaters full of patrons.  There is no useful comparison of an AR-15 and a human hand.  You sound ridiculous attempting to make one.  Come up with a purpose for the confounding thing that balances the needless carnage it creates, and form an argument for its utility.  Until then,  assault weapons remain a deadly curiosity for people to selfish to understand the bloody toll their behavior enables.

          Cheers!

            attacks.

I certainly hope you aren't too selfish to oppose warrantless wiretaps.
I'd hate for you to be a transparently hypocritical enabler of 9/11.

"There is no useful comparison of an AR-15 and the human hand"
When it comes to murder weapons there is. The FBI provides it. Bare hands are used in over twice as murders as all rifles combined. AR-15s are only a fraction of all rifles.

Your fears are unfounded. You're over twice as likely to be murdered by bare hands, over six times as likely to be stabbed & slightly more likely to be killed with a club.

Looks like you have a lot of banning ahead of you.
            Best get started.

May I recommend you don't engage this user?  He's here only to derail conversation.
