    - my lay person understanding is that experts have to prove three things; they are experienced and recognized by their peers as experts (that means by whatever credentialing bodies exist in their field), their analysis employs trusted methods and is rigorous (free from bias), and three that they have no conflict of interest.

    Then you can have differences of opinion. The methods must already be well established, AND fairly easy to explain to the judge and jury. If the method is confusing to the jury than it won't matter if if is scientifically well established.
