    I will sit sometimes and put a crocheted edge on them.  I still have an old cookie tin with tatting cotton in it of various shades of color.  I like crocheting with fine thread. You can find no#40 white on the internet in a standard ball. That will last me a long time for hankies.  I sometimes give one as a gift.  My vintage ones I keep in a draw.  Maybe someday I will put them on a quilt or wall hanging.

      Tatting is such meticulous work, and I seem to lack the skills to crochet.  In the past, I have knitted things that are square, but it felt like work to me, and didn't look that nice when I got done.   All my hankies are family heirlooms
