    All we need is 17 Republicans who feel too much pressure NOT to publicly sign it. In a number of Republican districts, this pressure will be there.

      who have publicly praised the Senate bill? I know Ros-Lehtinen has.

      that Democrats in the house focus on trying to get the Republicans in districts along the mexican border to support the law, thinking that it would be a slam-dunk easy sell for the Republicans.

      Except that have further review, the congressional districts along the border in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas are 3:1 in favor of Democratic representatives. So, the Senate and House appropriating all of this money for border security is actually pork for Democratic districts. Who knew?

      Also, that is a terrible harbinger for the GOP. The border they want so desperately to secure, is already overrun by Democrats.
