    to suck up and analyze virtually the whole of message traffic on the Internet - they are doing it.

    James Bamford (author and NSA expert) also reported that there is a separate program at Oak Ridge involving a world-class supercomputer for cracking AES and other encryption mechanisms that are used to obscure data. AES is commonly used to protect information that transits the Internet from Web browsers to secure sites such as banks. So even encrypted traffic will not be safe from NSA spying.
