    I grew up in a union family, unions are important, but I live in SF and commute to Oakland by BART and this posting paints a very one sided picture.

    BART employees are doing just fine, and adding what they have to what they are asking for is outrageous and not even a starting point for a good faith negotiation.

    Also, I can kill you with my brain.

      And BART is a government-run agency.  The last thing unions should do is point the finger at state government agencies, which already are having difficulty getting financing from the federal government (which they normally turn to in the first place) given the debt situation.  BART needs to improve its trains and do major retrofitting and this strike really makes BART union employees look bad when they already have salaries much higher than what most union employees in other businesses get.
