    ...but I took my first postponement. The old story, I'm self-employed and I hope I'll be in a better position in 3 months. if not I'll take the second postponement with the unsettling feeling that I'll really be screwed when I have to go.

    Last time was more than 10 years ago, I figured voir dire would surely get me out, in fact it got me on, and wound up as the foreman, which I also didn't want because I had strong feelings about the case and had to temper them.

    You just never can tell, which is why I opted to postpone. Sitting on my smartphone for three days in a jury pool getting dismissed in the early afternoon is one thing. Spending a week in a courtroom is quite another!
