  •  In a primary, Brown would be low on my list (0+ / 0-)

Depending on the field, possibly last unless Kucinich drags himself out for another egofest.

John Roberts? Melville Fuller?? WTF is the difference???.

    •  Why is that? (0+ / 0-)

As far as I can tell his only weakness is the fact that he won't have billionaires and corporations pouring billions in SuperPAC money into his war chest because he's not sufficiently corrupt.

      •  He's far too liberal to win a national election. (1+ / 0-)

The case I'm making is that Hillary's Neoliberal economic views are going to get us eaten alive if there's an antiestablishment current running through 2016.  Considering how badly things are going right now due to the President's refusal to fight for another New Deal, that looks like a very strong possibility.  I'm not calling for a "more liberal" politician, whatever that means, considering both Clinton and Brown are pro-gay rights, pro-environment, pro-civil rights, etc.  And Brown is in Ohio so he's a defense spending guy too.

I'm calling for a politician whose policies will be even more popular with voters than Clinton's, because they're exactly what people want: tons of jobs, backing for Main Street rather than Wall Street, and an end to outsourcing and trade deals that fuck American industries.  You really think that's going to be less popular than someone who will be backing the status quo, in a time when the economy continues to spiral?

    •  Dennis is probably happy cashing Murdoch's checks (1+ / 0-)

I don't see him coming back. Marcy Kaptur — a TRUE and EFFECTIVE progressive champion — kicked his butt.

Ed FitzGerald for governor Of Ohio. Women's lives depend on it.
