  •  sweet jesus. where do i begin? (0+ / 0-)

first of all, turn off cnn.  what are you listening to that tripe for?  go get yourself some real information.

second, don't make a blanket statement like the 'jury looks selected just to acquit'.  it's stupid.  tell me why, don't tell me i should tell you why not.

third, have you even been following the facts of the case?
far from acquitting, zimmerman would be lucky to just get manslaughter.  you apparently haven't been noticing the utter desperation of the defense team, for months now actually.

fourth, the state attorney who did move to prosecute zimmerman, was in fact a different attorney who didn't want to.  get our facts straight.

fifth, the indictment on murder 2 is absolutely correct.  it is not judicial overreach, it is not splitting the difference between murder 1 and aggravated manslaughter as if there was a difference of opinion with the ranks ofthe prosecutors.   sticking a gun into the chest of an unarmed minor who has been screaming for 44 seconds in existential terror and powerlessness and firing that gun isnot self-defense, it is depraved indifference to humn life and it is murder 2.  zimmerman had all the power and all the time to make a choice and he chose to fire.

sixth, 'facism has openly returned to europe'  WTF???????????

Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounding yourself with a-holes - William Gibson. (-9.75 / -9.05)

    •  Ok...first of all, I read an online cnn (0+ / 0-)

article that I referenced after finding it through another site. I probably have 50 websites bookmarked on this laptop...left, right, center, and tinfoil.

Second, you are right, I didn't make my point.Allow me to proceed: It's 5 white women and one hispanic woman as primary jurors...my comments in parentheses:

One: Described as a Hispanic woman, who works as a nurse treating patients with Alzheimer's. She has seven children. (no comment by me)

Two: A white middle-aged woman,  said that Zimmerman had an "altercation with the young man. There was a struggle, and the gun went off." (Note the passive the gun went off..).

Three: A middle-aged white woman, who works for a doctor and has many pets. She described protests in Sanford sparked after the delay in Zimmerman's arrest as "rioting." (Wow! Not protests, riots.)

Four: A retired white woman from Oviedo, Fla., who has a dog and 20-year-old cat. She knew a good deal about the case but said, "I'm not rigid in my thinking." (Ok, so you say.)

Five: A young white woman and mother, who used to work in financial services. She used this case as an example to her adolescent children, warning them to not go out at night. (She's afraid.)

Six: A white woman in her 60s, who lived in Iowa at the time of the shooting. She heard national news reports and recalls the shooting was in a gated community (read, nice place) and a teenager was killed.

      4 ALTERNATES:

One:A white man in his 50s. He told his 16-year-old stepson about wearing hoodies, cause Trayvon Martin was wearing at the time of the shooting. (Cause hoodies get you shot)

Two:A Hispanic man in his 20s, who works as maintenance technician at a school. He is power lifter and arm wrestler.(no comment)

Three:A white woman in her 20s. She has brother who is black. She says she "never" watches the news, but when she first heard of shooting thought it was a "racial thing."(no comment)

Four: A white middle-aged woman, who works as a nurse and says she listens to a lot of radio on her 15-minute commute. (Right wing talk radio or motown?)She said she knew little about the case and has no opinion about Zimmerman's guilt.

If I were Zimmerman, I'd love this jury.

Third, you could call it desperate, or just dirty, that doesn't mean it can't work.

Fourth, i concede your point sir.

Fifth, I agree with you, however, I'm not on that jury and neither are you,  and if the defense can change the narrative to create a doubt that it was Zimmerman who confronted Trayvon and not Trayvon, deciding to hide and jump Zimmerman, that could work.

      Sixth, Golden Dawn much?

      •  let me address the issue of the jurors first. (0+ / 0-)

here's a chart of the jurors selected and the alternates.

you will notice that of those 6 jurors, 2 are involved in animal rescue, and one likes pets.  please   note via the spreadsheet that these three are jurors you dismissed as being prejudicial against justice for trayvon.  i maintain they're a gift to the prosecution.

why is this genius on the part of the prosecution? the gun used to kill trayvon martin was initially purchased to 'defend against' (read: kill) the next door neighbors dog, if it came over to the zimmermans one more time.  george zimmerman apparently thinks this is perfectly normal behavior.  and this was noted either in opening statements by the prosecution, or somewhere else - i really can't remember now.

also, there was once a domestic violence restraint order against george for roughing up his ex-girlfriend and kicking her dog.  also mentioned as an aside somewhere.

still think it's a clean case of bias towards zimmerman.

further, 3 of those jurors, including the one you groundlessly dismissed for making the gated community comment, strongly believe that with gun ownership comes tremendous responsibility.  one is concerned about guns in general.  2 have CCW licenses - and in my opinion, they're the ones who are most upset about zimmerman's irresponsible use of firearms, saying that with gun ownership comes the duty to step back and/or stay uninvolved.

still think this is a clean case of bias towards zimmerman?

5of the six are mothers.  there is word that they were shocked to discover this didn't happen in the dead of night, but at 7 pm in the evening. dinner time.  as in "sweet child, we're just about to sit down to dinner, would you take your brother and walk to the 7/11 and get us some milk for the table?"

you think they didn't know who was lying on
the stand?  you think that although they may have pity and looked aside at the lies gladys zimmerman told as unavoidable, they were anguished by sybrina fulton's testimony, impressed by her young man jaharvis, and have watched tracy martin wipe away his tears for 2 weeks now?

do you thinlk 5 mothers can't immediately spot the lies told by george zimmerman, or weren't shocked by his indifference to trayvon's life when he said 'it was god's will that trayvon die'?  and then watched as george himself, in the court room smirked and laughed at his own hannity interview?  do you think they missed zimmerman's incredible display of 'guilty' body language when the fulton family testified, when the ME discussed the forensics surrounding trayvon's body?

do you think they didn't wince when the skinny body of trayvon was shown in the ME testimony?  do you think ithe y miss the fact that is was a barely 17 year old boy who was murdered in cold blood by a full grown adult?

don't sell the mommas short.  in fact put your faith in the mommas and pray for them that they have the courage to walk the righteous path.

because where you see bias, i see normal people with human concerns.  i wouldn't underestimate their desire to do right.  and given the evidence, there's only one right in this case.

next, the defense strategy.  the fact is, the defense has no defense.  the testimony of zimmerman's own college instructors blew holes right through the defense's contention that this was self-defense and that george knew nothing about self-defense law and syg as he infact lied.

don't imagine for one minute the defenses bluster, their pre-trial lies about trayvon, mean they will succeed.  they have nothing.  and o'mara shows this in every move he and west makes.  and they will have less than nothing at the end of this week, if they don't in fact rest their case tomorrow, as a pre-emptive move against the prosecution blowing even more holes in their defense.

next, no it couldn't work.  there are no facts in evidence that say that zimmerman was jumped.  further, the fact that even if trayvon smacked him first - and there is utterly no evidence he did, in fact there is evidence saying he didn't - and zimmerman took a swing back, that would nullify zimmerman's claim of self defense right there.  because if the defendant could have retreated in complete safety - and don't forget he had a loaded, ready to go gun right there and so was in fact the only one whose life was never in danger - and used a deadly weappon instead, he does not enjoy a claim of self defense.   and that is how the jury will more or less be instructed on that element.

next, golden dawn: 18 out of 300 in the greek parliament, none in the european parliament.

fascism never left the european scene, that shot is neverobliterated, it's always just marginalised.  the BNP has been around for ever,  there are still nazi gauleiters in germany who think they patrol their neighborhoods, and who have shrines to hitler in their bedroom closets.  the le pins have been around for four decades and have never really gined a toe-hold.  fascism has not returned to inundate europe, europe is too busy being pissed off at the NSA and the prism program.
