  •  TM's hands were not tested for DNA, ... (0+ / 0-)

only the nails (of a nail-biter, thus he didn't really have any).

    •  Well, the people from the lab certainly testified (2+ / 0-)

that they were able to scrape under his fingernails--this was testimony from
the person who scraped under the nails and the person who analyzed the
scrapings--two different people. They were very clear about that.

Also, who ever said he was a nail biter, I've not heard that anywhere. I guess you know better, though.

      •  Yeah, Neuroptimalian seems to know (0+ / 0-)

all kinds of things about this case that I don't think I've seen reported anywhere else.

Of course, it's completely impossible for any of this to be speculation.

        •  When an issue arises, I investigate it ... (0+ / 0-)

to the extent I think it's relevant, and to the extent I have the free time to do so.  It's a habit of someone who's spent many years investigating things in connection with various lawsuits.

In this case, when I heard the ME testify that only one swab was used to test all fingers on a hand and that no nail clippings were taken and saved for evidence, it occurred to me to question why that might be.  I looked for photos online which might show TM's fingers, and posted a comment concerning the results I found.

Anyone else interested could easily have done the same research.
