    a lot on group emails so if you're on some group mailing list it will come up very prominently even if these people are not your close friends or coworkers.

      I didn't see anything which indicated how the NSA might circumvent that, though. I mean, they're still getting the same metadata more or less. Perhaps they have better filters, especially with direct correspondences between individuals -- it would hardly surprise -- but I have no way to know beyond what MIT and the article I linked to said of knowing the specific differences between MIT's and the NSA's systems (nor, I suspect, do they).
