If there's a significant backlash against the candidate, they'll drop her quickly. The DCCC, as I said above, is most concerned about winning. If the candidate can't raise money, they'll drop her. If the polling tanks, they'll drop her. They're not targeting her as much as they're making sure someone with a D next to their name (and voting for Pelosi for speaker) is on the ballot.

Another quick note: if people IN HER DISTRICT raise a stink about it, it's more likely she'll get dropped. If you are historically a major DCCC donor (bundler, high dollar ($2000+, throw fundraisers, etc) and you have more people threatening to withhold money, it's more likely she'll get dropped.

Unfortunately, if you're a small dollar donor, aren't in her district, and don't have a lot of weight behind what you're saying, you're more likely to get the "we understand your concern and will bring it up with xxx" without any kind of real response types of answers. Not sure of your situation, of course.

After supporting her for secretary of state for six months, the backlash was so intense they shoved her overboard and recruited another candidate. While I objected to the graceless way they tossed her aside – they should have been having ongoing conversations with her about the backlash — she was vindictive and despite her obvious political ambitions, said she would not run again for state legislature, flipping the seat to a Republican.

The woman is a sea of liabilities and has left a trail of enraged Democrats statewide.

She's toxic. She will damage Democrats statewide in 2014 if she runs.

Ed FitzGerald for governor Of Ohio. Women's lives depend on it.
