  •  Very interesting discussion! (6+ / 0-)

Just started with a new oncologist today.  He gave me just the perspective I needed on all the stats I've been collecting.
There's information and then there's understanding and perspective of what it all means for me and my situation. I have a pretty simple, well studied and understood breast cancer.  But it's a lot to sort out and make sense of - and I have a BS degree in Nursing, although didn't really work in nursing.

One of the things I've struggled with the most is all the decision making required on this cancer journey. So it was very relieving to have intelligent attentive medical care at this juncture in my journey.

I'm too early on this journey to be very philosophical about the journey itself and its impact on my larger journey.

Kate, I'm from A2, born and raised.  Just went to my 50th reunion from Ann Arbor Pioneer.  Left in my early 20's.  never did like the Art Fair: too hot, too crowded, too expensive for my taste.  And it's quite an amazing event!  Hope you had a wonderful evening.  I love Ann Arbor and miss it.

Ps I can't come on Saturday.  Sorry I didn't get the message earlier. I really want to meet up. Next time!

The 'shift' is hitting the fan.

      will work, too.
Tonight's fair (which I didn't get to) was established a few years ago in typical A2 protest against the rest of the fair, for all the reasons you mention. One of these years I'll get to the Monday night event. I tend to avoid the regular fair, though one of my closest friends just loves walking through it for hours.
It does help so much to have someone you respect make sense of all the information. The decision-making and the learning curve entailed by a cancer dx are quite overwhelming at first, or so I found.
      Huggs!
