    don't see how anyone in DC, even Reid, could resist the Holy Deal. After all, that's what governance is entirely about.

      ... in my Twitter feed, I knew we were in trouble.

      It's not about a "deal." That means "we won't be assholes for two nominations, but JUST TWO." It's about functioning, and we've seen enough to know the current rules don't work. There shouldn't be a next time.

      The Democrats need to lose the Senate, spend 2015-16 in the wilderness, and get Elizabeth Warren, Tom Udall, Jeff Merkley, etc., involved in the leadership after the 2016 election.

        And then Ron Fournier and all the other wannabe David Broders in the Beltway media can sing their hosannas to "bipartisanship".
