The more I've come to realize just how much the "pro-NSA/surveillance/administration" side has to rely on semantics.

I've been in several exchanges where my adversary labelled something or other "CT" based on a literal definition of conspiracy theory in order to justify that labelling, full knowing the tarnishing effect that label has when viewed through the Daily Kos "CT" lens.

Words like "whistleblower" and of course, "apologist" are taken to mean different things:

    "Snowden ISN'T a whistleblower because..."
"Apologist IS a bad word because..."

Not to mention, the endless semantic arguments revolving around what is technically legal for the government to be doing, or the technical legality/illegality of Snowdens actions.

If you have to twist or reinterpret things in order to support your argument, your argument has problems. ;)

Somebody has to do something, and it's just incredibly pathetic that it has to be us. ~ J. Garcia
