    By the wonderful Jean Shepherd, who had a late night radio program. (Well it was late for me...I was 11 or 12) .  He was a great reader, who knew how to turn the campy into delicious 'stuff'.

    I had to raid the city libraries to find the books, and I had to gobble them up.  What great villains!  What purple prose!  Luckily I found them for the kindle.

    Good literature? Don't be silly.  Fun?  Of course.

    Thank you for reminding me.  Gotta go dig out the old recordings of the Shep's program.

      My personal favorites:  Bob and Ray.  I loved them to death, especially the Monongahela Metal Foundry, maker of extra-shiny steel ingots you'll be proud to display next to your finest crystal and china on the holiday table.
