US companies. TransCanada's head office is in Houston Texas and it makes the major decisions regarding the pipeline. There'a s branch office in Calgary AB, Canada.

The tar sands were first started and operated by American investors. Syncrude the conglomerate that is exploiting the Tar Sands is roughly 60% US owned.

All the worlds big oil companies are involved. It's a global project dominated by the USA.

The Canadian Prime Minister is the son of an oil man and he has become a lobbyist for the tar sands. His approval rating was at 29% last I heard. The majority of Canadians oppose the tar sands. More and more Canadians opposed it as soon as they learn how destructive it is.

Canada is the third world neighbour in this case with our government selling us out to Big Oil.

UTAH GOV determined to DESTROY UTAH: Tar Sands, Oil Shale & Fracking CHALLENGED

THE PLANS DWARF ALBERTA!  Eastern Utah is a desert, so UTAH Gov grants 1000s of licences for tar sands, oil shale, and fracking.  The only water available for this water sucking processes for extracting bitumen oil and gas require millions, yes, millions of gallons of water.  Therefore, Utah Government is determined to Destroy Utah, the Green River, The White River, and the Colorado River.

I've been following this insanity for a while now.  Here's what I have learned that has me convinced that the Utah Government is determined to destroy Utah.

I think once you read through these articles, you will agree that the

I posted this research compilation yesterday.

      •  Yes, I am aware of the tar sands extraction in (0+ / 0-)

Utah. It has been approved by the Obama administration even though they have seen what it did to the boreal forest in Canada.

And your segue into Utah what has it got to do with my comment about the ownership of the Canadian Tar sands?

These environmental disasters respect no borders, the whole continent of North America is being destroyed by oil and gas exploration and extraction.
