    ruddy French insisted that their 'Super Caravelle' design should be the one which 'won', and therefore there would be only 100 seats - that blew the economics right out of the water.

    Here I have a small confession to make....I have flown in Concorde cough, and not 'down the back'. I bagged myself a seat 'up front' in G-BOAF. The view out of the fused quart heat shield at Mach 2.02 and FL650 is - amazing!

    I hereby declare that I had NOTHING to do with Alpha Fox losing half of her rudder over the Australian Outback! Not me!

      Talked about its history. The thing I most remember was how the engineering was essentially compromise after compromise after compromise. It almost didn't get finished because of that. I'm not an engineer, but I am a physicist, so I look at things more from a global view, and that compromise mentality mixed with flight dynamics is a really bad combo. I'm surprised that there weren't more safety incidents. There were a lot, but I guess if no one gets killed, that means its safe, amirite?
