Here's one, I think from Oscar Wilde: "Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won't expect it back."

Went to buy toothpaste, shampoo, etc., yesterday and wandered down the pharmacy's food and drink aisle. Dr. Pepper called to me. Haven't had it in more than a year (not much of a soda drinker). It was good! Always reminds me of my maternal grandmother - next to iced coffee, it was her beverage of choice.

Hope everyone has a good day and weekend.

It's always good to be able to get a chuckle from some silly stuff.   Life just gets too serious, and it's nice to have a break.

I just gave up drinking pop, or soda as you easterners call it.  I'm trying to lose weight and I'm a diet Coke drinker.  They say diet drinks actually cause you to gain, so I'm drinking water.   Remember "Green River"?   Gosh, I haven't had that in forever.   Don't know if I'd like it.

      Have a good day.

I am a work in progress. Still.

I don't think I ever heard of it. One of those lemon-lime drinks? I'll look it up. Another one of my infrequent favorites is root beer.

Didn't know diet "soda pop" (that's what I grew up calling it), caused weight gain. Wow. Like I said, I'm not a big fan of soda. It's just too sweet after a few sips. I do like the fizz, though. When I want one, it's usually Coke, and I want the full catastrophe - sugar, caffeine, etc.

Best of luck with the weight loss. Water's good for that, I imagine. I drink more of that than anything.

I've grown to love water with lemon juice, lime juice, or both. I am sorry to report that this morning DH made us Cape Codders. Friends of ours recently separated :( Two little kids :( Husband is overdosing on testosterone :( very, very sad. They're young, mid-30's.

It's so stupid IMO. D (husband) is young, very fit, very handsome, has/had a gorgeous wife, adorable kids, and a great marriage...and is pissing it all away. For what?? It's not like heroin, but ...oh, maybe it is. He's an idiot. A 'roid-raging idiot.
