  •  The bill says (3+ / 0-)

The vigilantes are in addition to the statutes which allow political parties to appoint up to 2 in-precinct poll observers.

The chair of each political party in the county shall have the right to designate 10 additional at-large observers who are residents of that county who may attend any voting place in that county.

    •  Does this mean NC may get 5k-10k new (5+ / 0-)

political parties, each allowed 2 in-precinct poll observers?

Of course everyone in each of these "new" parties would continue to vote for candidates from the two main parties--assuming the R's think of this tactic, if not too bad.

Even a few hundred "observers" per precinct would be interesting.
