  •  Sorry for your loss... (18+ / 0-)

The one thing I can count on when I get home from work or wake up is that my dog is glad to see me.

    •  I remember when I was commuting. When I would get (4+ / 0-)

to the stop sign about a 1/2 block from the house, our cat Ren would start going nutz running between the living room and kitchen. DH always knew that I would be pulling into the driveway about a minute later. It was weird. And he swears it happened every single day. Ren always let him know that mommy was almost home! Stimpy could care less! Cats will keep ya humble. Rocky will run to the truck when I get home from town. Otherwise, he doesn't care. But he did exhibit some interesting behaviour when DH had to go to So Cal when his mom was in the hospital. In bed, Rocky snuggled up next to my legs every single night the DH was gone (almost a week). I mean snuggle to the point he was almost underneath me! And all night long! It ended the minute DH came back home. The only thing I can figure is that he sensed the amount of stress and was trying his best to make it better. He did!

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.
