I was not aware of that. Thank you.

Refusing to resist = choosing to collaborate. Please give two shits.

Please excuse the rant that follows, but Russ has been MIA throughout the turmoil that WI governance has been through over the last few years. IMHO he barely tried in the senate campaign that he lost to the stuffed shirt corporate shill Ron Johnson; he made a brief cameo appearance during the height of the capitol protests after Walker "dropped the bomb", and although the governorship is essentially there for the taking he's absconded to a State Department posting in Africa.

Russ may do some wonderful things for the people of Africa in his present post, but he sure as hell walked-out on the people of Wisconsin when we needed him most. I know this view will be unpopular among many who hold a legacy view of Russ as a reformer, and I get that he paid his dues with two terms in the US Senate, but I just can't get past the notion that a politician with that many assets would choose to walk away from the political fight of a lifetime, an opportunity to rescue Wisconsonites from the depravities of the Walker regime with barely a note that he's leaving the field.

Feingold's abdication of what I see as a civil duty is one of the greatest disappointments in my (political) life and I still can't get my head around it.

to look at his picture on his constant "Progressives United" fundraising emails. I guess he "had a hurt" when he lost to such an imbecile, so he was withdrawing his love. WTF! All he had to do was run, serve for the two year term, and help groom a good candidate.

Now they are all chickenshit, afraid to lose to the behemoth that is the Walker Apparatus (Koch!) and running around like cowards. Russ is the #1 coward, in my book. Sure, as with any human, he has a right to navigate his own needs and desires. So do you, so do I. But the people I know and work with have given much more of their energy, lives and hearts to try to fix this broken State than those Dem bastards who won't do jack. We're just little people, not in politics, not in positions of power - hounded by the Right, unsupported by the neutered middle Left, howling in the wind at the edges of suburban chemical lawns and highway bridges.

Sing a song, and get hauled off to jail. What utter, desolate, bullshit.

          (rant over)
