    My understanding is that the Chinese company is planning a dual-production-line strategy. Pigs intended for export to China, Russia, and elsewhere will be chemical-free, as every other sane country requires. Pigs intended for domestic US consumption will be fed poisons to make them grow faster and fatter.

    And if the US tried to move to the rest-of-world standard, there would be such intense pushback from the livestock industry lobbyists and their GOP cronies in Congress that they'd fail.
