    Because incursive weeds just make that much more work for you. We will likely have to take the same step, just because the front "lawn" was 95% weeds, including such prolific pests such as sandbur, purslane, bindweed, creeping charlie, chickweed, knotweed...

    Well, I guess the yard had plenty of diversity? But now it has 6 different kinds of grass seed. (I will never object to pretty companions such as white clover or violets.)

    The chocolate mint is trying to escape its planting box. I haven't found a safe place in the yard to plant it, though; will probably have to sink an old bathtub or horse trough if I want it in the ground.
