Respectfully I suggest that "Americans" don't have any real opinions.  They take their cues from the media, mostly from TeeVee and often from biased outlets like Fox TV which is worse than nothing and is pure partisan propaganda.

Americans in a global context are woefully ignorant and under educated and ill prepared for the world as we find it today.  Few critical thinking skills come from our educational system, especially for those folks educated in the south.

When you present an issue as if "Americans" really care about anything other than the next NBA or NFL game and their wallets you are sadly misdirecting the dialogue.  Today, IMO Americans don't really give a shit about anything except their own selfish interest and narrow worldview.

I know it sucks to say this and I am sure it sucks to read it however it is what it is.

I don't care how "low-information" the people in the poll are.  I'm glad to have 'em on our side.  Especially since the more information they do learn on this issue, the likelier they are to be on our side.

        I suppose!

The Koch brothers and the other far right corporate interests understand how ignorant the population is and use it to their advantage.  It is why they want to buy media outlets in heavily populated areas.
