    ... about comments in another context that made us bristle, but that may have just "come out wrong."  Sometimes interpretations can be tricky and i'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, but ... jeeze.  I hesitated to rec it to begin with, and now i also wish i hadn't.

      the next comment in the thread, which I attempted to diffuse with a funny clip from Coen Brothers movie. I gave the first one the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, I was trying to be polite, and also hoping that there was merely some tone deafness behind what was in the comments. The link above is pretty shocking, though.

      But don't feel bad about uprating a comment in a friendly community thread. All of us get a little loose with the uprate button. I know I do.  :)

      Breathe in. Breathe out. Forget this, and attaining enlightenment will be the least of your problems.

      so I recognized his name. I always give the person the benefit of the doubt but this one loves to stir up the pot. Don't feel bad though about your recommendation as you didn't know.

        I'm terrible with names, whether they're "on-line" or in "real life" ... and often, if a screen name is familiar, i can't remember if it's due to a positive association, or a negative one!  I'm glad you clarified ...
