      There will still be criminals and crime!
      Why use your locks on your house? Why pass any laws to hold the executive accountable? Besides, just a little bit of history regarding the Church Committee regulations and the original FISA court proceedings, as a reaction to Nixon and Watergate, worked better until the enhanced drug war, the Patriot Act, and the Obama-Bush national security state.

      Repealing laws that never should have passed has happened successful many times during our history. The War Powers Ac has been enforced against Reagan during the Lebanon conflict as well as many other times.

      Maybe I gave your swiss cheese question and premise more credit than it was worth and it was only worth a dime at best.

      Those who deflect debates about the issues with complaints about tone usually have a lot to atone for.
