  •  Thank you for such a beautiful and inspiring (3+ / 0-)

diary, chrislove, It is a refreshing change to focus on the positive and not the angst or hopelessness that can come with caring about others... our planet... our world to the extent we do here on DK. So many of our discussions have an underlying pain and accumulative frustration that some Kossacks resort to arguing and name calling when there is no other mode of communication left for them to aspire to.

It's interesting to me that for many years the study of pathology predated the study of happiness. How sad that we know so much about psychopathology and less about happiness. When I was in graduate school one of my favorite professors had just secured a grant to embark on a study of happiness. I should look it up.

One of the individuals who shaped my life is my first dance teacher. I spent so many hours at her little studio and then went off to college. I tried to contact her years ago but was only able to leave messages. The dedication and creativity that she bestowed on her dancers was born of love for dance and teaching. She new all of our strengths and weakness and choreographed pieces that pushed us and made us better dancers. Oh, she was mean sometimes, but you have to expect that of artists sometimes, ha?

Thank you for hosting tonight, chrislove, it is an honor to have you grace our table tonight.
