    so I'm kind of a hobbyist groupie, but you do really wonderful work, especially with the illustrated series.  I remember your first diaries here and was especially interested in the straw bale gardening.  I've toyed some with the prospect because so many ideal locations for vegetables have become infected from rootknot nematodes, which I know now must have been picked up from plants at gardening sites or local charity plant sales.  None here for the first five years and then "Wham!"

    I learn new information here with every diary and sometimes take on new tangents of virtual research.  I can also identify with the eyesight problem though I would never guess it from your diaries.  Magnification has become my frequent friend.  I envy those whose eyesight remains so sharp for so long.
