  •  That part about walmart not respecting customers (11+ / 0-)

Is absolutely true. I really think they respect their customers almost as little as they respect their employees. Dirty stores, crappy merchandise, treating employees and customers alike as if they all steal. I honestly think the ultimate sign of disrespect for customers and employees is the low quality of everything they do and carry. Their plan was to pay employees so little that they had no where else to shop but walmart. Then they drove out all the local businesses so that everyone else was desperate and had no  where else to shop and work too. That means their employees are their customers and are forced to buy processed, low quality food, shabby clothes, etc.

The only thing they missed is that there are still thrift stores and yard sales that their employees and former customers like me can shop at. I can buy afford to buy better quality clothes and stuff at thrift stores and second hand stores than walmart. I fully expect that within the next five years they will begin to lobby for stricter regulation of thrift stores and yard sales to eliminate that competition.

That passed by; this can, too. - Deor

    •  With all due respect, our local Wal-Mart (0+ / 0-)

Is pretty much spotless except for one area: the Milk vault, as I call it.

That thing stinks of sour milk and I have told them about it via their online complaint thing recently but haven't been back. We will see if it has been cleaned up the next time I go there.
