Any book that hints of having Paris in it gets a read from me.  Even if the main characters are implausibly named Quasimodo and Esmeralda.

I like "little" books about Paris.  The Flâneur by Edmund White is one of my favorites.  I like books where Paris is the background setting to the famous characters -- fictional books about Hemingway, factual books about Julia Child.  I like sagas Les Miserables and domestic dramas, My Cousin Bette, and psycho dramas like Madame Bovary that take place in and around Paris.

If Paris is anywhere near the book, I'm in!  Hmmm. . . it might be interesting to make a list of all the books I can remember having read that relate to Paris.  I bet there's beaucoups of them!
