had two Pyrenese and they actually lived past 10 which was unusual. They were super mellow dogs who just wanted to hang out with the humans. Sorry for your loss.

two things would disturb him, fireworks, and helicopters.

He would bark in an effort to quiet the former, and would jump into the sky, barking frantically as he chased the choppers away. We have some sort of national guard minibase nearby, and each day, at the same time, three choppers would stop directly high over our house, then separate, always in a new direction each day. Byron was proud how quickly he chased them away each day.

What we call god is merely a living creature with superior technology & understanding. If their fragile egos demand prayer, they lose that superiority.

impressed upon my imagination --- can virtually see and hear him as he "would jump into the sky, barking frantically as he chased the choppers away... Byron was proud how quickly he chased them away each day."

Thank you, agnostic, for sharing this.

        Rest in Peace, Byron.

        Good boy.

        •  to him, they were really big, noisy birds. (1+ / 0-)
