    If you want to talk about the ostensibly accidental collection of domestic phone conversations, fine. But injecting them into a discussion where they aren't relevant isn't the way to do it.

    It was suggested that the question of privacy rights regarding the collection of metadata (phone numbers, addresses) was not settled law. It is, regardless of whether we like it or not. Running around claiming otherwise will not resolve the problem. It is, IMO, more likely to discredit critics of the National Security State.

    Is that what you want?
