    The chain of command is responsible for the treatment of Manning. Obama is the top of the chain of command. The treatment is obviously abusive, both to Manning and to America's needed reputation for justice. Obama certainly knew about it, as did millions of us seeing the reporting as it unfolded.

    Even if Obama didn't explicitly order or approve it, he is most certainly responsible for it.

    Only extreme partisanship can let you say otherwise.

      so every single bad thing done by every single member of the military Obama is responsible for?

      The dozen or so troops who drunk drive tonight? Obama's responsible.  The guys who go AWOL? Obama.

      IF there were a pattern of abuses, and Obama did nothing to stop that pattern, that might be a different thing.
