    ....on Salon, from Jonathan Bernstein:

None of these politicians seem to feel any need to actually discuss the grounds for impeachment. At best there’s some hand-waving around the minor scandals of the last year, but for the most part it’s just assumed that impeachment is what Republicans normally do to Democratic presidents, just because.

The conclusions? Bill Clinton wasn’t impeached over sex (what Democrats believe) or over perjury (what Republicans claim); he was impeached because he was a Democrat in the White House. That’s enough.

It's axiomatic that God is a Republican, and any Democrat who managed to win the White House must have made a deal with Satan to do so.  "Impeachment" has nothing to do with the law or the Constitution.  It's now a synonym for "exorcism."

I remember none other than Bill Clinton saying some years back that the main reason for the GOP's insane hatred of him was very simple: He won. And that's because many Republicans felt there would never be another Democratic president, that they'd found some foolproof way to beat them every time (which, again, shows how idiotic they are).

It's the same with Obama, magnified by the fact that he's also a black man. If Hillary wins in 2016, her being a woman (and a Clinton too) will only make it worse. To these guys, if the President is not white, male and Republican, the world has gone to hell.
