Door to door canvassing in your local neighborhood.  Often someone will have seen him and can help you focus your efforts.  Take a photo if you have one.  Take business cards or slips of paper with "lost dog" and your phone number for people who say they will keep an eye out.

Posters.  Put perpendicular to the road, preferably near stop signs and stop lights where people are slowing down.  Make sure the words "Lost Dog" and "Reward" are large and easily readable.  Tradition is not to post the amount of the reward, but I know someone who posted "$1000 Reward" and teams of people out trying to earn the reward did find and return the dog.

If he is not found by tomorrow, call all of the vets in town, or take them posters with his photo.  Someone could find him, hurt or otherwise, and take him to a vet to get checked out.

Direct mail.  See if there is a direct mail company in your town that will let you include a notice in their fliers on one or two routes near your house.

Classified "Lost Pet" ads.  Your paper may offer these free.  Take advantage.

Be aware that descriptions of dogs are often astonishingly inaccurate.  Unbelievably so.  Try not to depend on description.  Go to Animal Control and/or all shelters with a photo.  Try to view, or have someone who knows your dog view, all dogs that have come in since he got out.  Try to get the relevant people at AC to look at your photo.

I hope you find him.  I'm aware that my suggestions are all "go here, go there" and that you are limited with your foot.  I'm hoping you can find someone to take you, lend you a wheelchair, or go in your place.

Don't give up.  In my experience, vigorous, energetic effort has recovered missing dogs.
