a group of people did something (I have no idea what the situation for this really was) to warrant me complain/telling  the staff that I felt "threatened" I would also be more than pissed if the staff asked me to move.

Either way the firm would be getting some kind of shit storm.

As such the staff should use their honest best judgment as to who is really to blame (if any one) and respond accordingly.

Given that I doubt you were there, what evidence do you have that either side was right or wrong, other than bias?

This is 2013 not  1953 maybe your assumptions are out of date.

    •  Do you have any evidence that the white person (0+ / 0-)

was part of a larger group?

I'll allow that as a possibility.  But having grown up just across the border in NC, I can tell you that the threshold for "feeling threatened" drops by an order of magnitude when the "threat" is a large party of Those People and saying "I feel threatened by Those People" is often code for "If you don't tell that bunch to shove off, I'll be standin' my ground right here in your dining room."

The story as reported seems far too plausible, and so far Wild Wings hasn't tried to refute the story, just backpedal away from it.

I'll believe corporations are people when one comes home from Afghanistan in a body bag.

ALWAYS back-peddle.  No matter right or wrong. Even if right, it is FAR FAR cheaper to just spit out a fake apology and move on.

So that is not evidence at all.

I personally have never heard of someone feeling , or felt threatened by any group at a restaurant.

Either way. Simply using your previous examples as evidence is a clear admittance of bias. Even if true its still a bias.  And bias is just a gateway drug to ***.
