Of course, the idea that Foxaganda and other right-wing media and pundits seek to embed in the national psyche that large numbers of Americans don't pay any taxes is bogus. They pay sales taxes. They pay gasoline taxes. Even if they rent, they pay property taxes because landlords don't cover that out of their own pockets. They pay Social Security taxes. They pay Medicare taxes.
I despise that ridiculous meme about the poor and lower middle class not paying any taxes, especially since it hurts the poor and lower middle class far more to pay the taxes that they do than it hurts any of the billionaires to pay their low taxes.

"Foxaganda" is a nice one... I hadn't seen that one before.

biggest problem, that a vacuum cleaner is being taken to our economy by corporations and wealthy sheltering monies overseas.  I wish Obama and Congress would pass something allowing those folks to bring some of that money back, even if we had to give them a tax break on the deal.  We need that money circulating over here, and could use the taxes as well.  If we sit around and wait for the Republicans to do this, guess how much tax will be paid for those people to get at their monies??  Most likely, ZERO.

Mitt Romney and Republicans also conveniently avoid discussions of special tax breaks and subsidies to some of the most profitable corporations and rich americans ... because with citizens united, their campaign making small and medium business owners even less relevent.
