invert the Makers/Takers dichotomy, calling the Makers who do the work to make stuff and provide direct services at minimum wage Takers, and the Takers who live off financial chicanery Makers and Job Creators.

This follows Thorstein Veblen, in The Theory of the Leisure Class, where he points out that the only honorable vocations for the upper class are those that do not involve working with one's hands. Work was for slaves and women. In fact, the occupations of highest honor are those involving the display of prowess—force or fraud. These include aristocratic landowners living off rents; military officers; lawyers; politicians; and financiers. High-ranking church officials, entertainers, and creative people (writers, artists, composers) have been by courtesy members of the Leisure Class also, at least those who are wholly dependent on the rich and bend their efforts to supporting the Leisure Class.

So, Clint Eastwood and Charlton Heston and Ronnie Reagan, fine, but George Clooney or Angelina Jolie not so much.
