  •  I'm looking around (15+ / 0-)

my house at irreplaceable things: the only photo of great-great grandparents, the side table my great grandfather made with his own hands, a basket my grandmother used to collect chicken eggs when she was a little girl on the farm, a painting made by a friend. There's a tub of baby stuff in the attic from my daughter: a favorite hat, a handmade layette set from an aunt, booties. Then there's all the paperwork: marriage license, deeds, passports, birth certificates, diplomas.

How do you replace any of this stuff? How can $2000 make up for losing that last image of an ancestor or the experience of going through the baby things with my child someday when she is expecting one of her own? These banks are stealing lives. And that $2000 is totally suppositional. They don't even want to pay the original, totally reasonable claim much less a little money for her trouble! Criminals.

You're gonna need a bigger boat.
