  •  What exactly is wrong with the state of Alabama? (3+ / 0-)

This castration bill is ridiculous and evil. Good to know that Alabama state reps have enough time on their hands for such foolishness.

    •  The rightwing seems very, very obsessed with (5+ / 0-)

sexual functioning, and now that they've converted women into incubators via their new reproduction laws, they are moving on to men they disdain as much as the wimmins.  Look out, Dem guys, because where they have packed legislatures they may come after you.  Doesn't this pattern sound familiar within the context of 20th century history?

    •  Perhaps there ought to be an amendment to the bill (4+ / 0-)

Stating that should someone convicted and punished under the law later be found to have been innocent, Mr. Hurst shall be physically castrated as soon as possible.

    •  This guy may not care it's unconstitutional (4+ / 0-)

...But even though my dog got fixed, that didn't stop him from humping people's legs.  As far as I'm aware, removing someone's testicles will prevent him from becoming a father, and will make long bicycle rides more comfortable, and might even help him hit the high notes if he's a soprano opera singer, but it won't prevent him from sexually abusing anybody.
