at Hollister. Or so I've heard. I never remember to bring my respirator or my night vision goggles to the mall, so I've never actually been in a Hollister store.

    Its clearly Obama's fault.

ago. A mall store that could have been completely handicapped accessible was "improved" by building a front porch with steps going up to the front doors, after which you had to go down steps to get into the store (there were doors to the main store that were accessible from the mall itself, but they were locked into a position with only a narrow opening and even if someone had banged on the doors to get staff to open them wide enough for a person to fit through, the store staff would have had to move all sorts of displays out of the way).
Inside the store was dark with some lights on displays but it was hard to see where you were going. The cashiers were parked behind a counter right near the music speakers so they couldn't hear what we were asking and we couldn't hear what they were saying either.
All in all, not a good experience.
      Idiotic company.

      •  Isn't Hollister (0+ / 0-)

a subsidiary of some other company?  Abercrombie & Fitch, I think.

        •  I'll check it out. If so, that's the end for (1+ / 0-)

us with that company. My daughter, not very political but still principled, doesn't like Abercrombie & Fitch because of the nasty things they say about not selling to people who are overweight. My daughter is very skinny kid herself, but she's conscious of how wrong this attitude is.
Just checked, and you are correct. I'll break the bad news to my daughter tomorrow morning -- she's going shopping.
