  •  I'm well aware of what pumps are...geesh...really? (0+ / 0-)

The whole come and do me thing is what I was referencing...

I was just wondering about consistent messaging regarding blaming clothing/how someone is dressed not being 'asking for anything...

"Dressed like a tramp" to use the old terminology, that doesn't imply that you think they're a tramp. Just that they're dressed like one.

If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!

      •  That's not even relevant as an example... (0+ / 0-)

The idea that short skirts and pumps mean that someone (the women on Fox) is 'asking' for someone to come and 'do them' is simply wrong.

It implies the mode of dress means that if those women were assaulted, that they were 'asking for it'.

No they are not, even if their mode of dress is part of pulling the audience in.

        That's the gist of it.

Now back to our regularly scheduled comments...

Fox is trying to exploit their sexuality by making them dress that way.

Also that someone is maybe a bit thin-skinned and spring loaded to the "Sexist!" position.

          •  Right. Cause pointing it out 'this time' is wrong. (1+ / 0-)

It's ok that we say it like that 'this time' because...Fox.

We didn't have to be as clear about the idea the statement can give because...Conservatives.

            Whatever...
