    And I mentioned it too. :)

    It is curious story telling. At no point do we ever learn the girls name. But what I like about it is that Joyce never tells you what the boy feels. He leaves that to you. J. D. Salinger did much the same. The story is not in the words, it is between the words. You, the reader, complete the story.

    I am convinced that the Ulysses you read is not the same Ulysses I read. Joyce leaves sentences unfinished, I think with the full intent that the reader is the one to finish it.
