    •  I am the only one willing to do spider rescue here (7+ / 0-)

      but will I be able to save hundreds of unhatched babies?  There  is an ample supply of moths for her by the outside light, but the whole parcel must be moved by the time of hatching....
      tune in tomorrow, same spidey time, same spidey channel.

      Going to search the intertubes for spider gestation now.

        It says they will hatch in the spring, but they need to be in a web already to acquire food.  Also, the mother will die shortly after laying the eggs.  She may already be gone, but I won't have a web to move them to.

        There was a similar spider a few days earlier on a different side of the house, I thought it was maybe the same one.  I'm going to see if there is any web to attach the sack to.  From 50-several hundred babies in the sack.
