    Don't you oppose intervention even if Assad gassed over 400 children and 700 adults?  Do you think there will be evidence that his government did not do that?  If Aassad's government did do that, would you support the bombing proposal?

      I'm surprised at you that you swallow it whole.

      If Assad did do it?  Taking our time in formulating a response is not as without merit as you seem to suggest.

        Is your opposition predicated on Assad's government not doing it?

        There are many who beleive the vidence shows that Assad's regime used chemical weapons but who oppose missile strieks anyway, and there is a reasoned argument to be made against even limited intervention notwithstanding the use of chemical weapons.

      those numbers of fatalities the US is using have been questioned. The numbers of fatalities presented by the US are higher than any other source. And when they've been asked to document the math, they can't. Other sources have explained methodology, but the US refuses.

      So, do we even know these numbers are correct?
