    still haven't seen conclusive evidence, very slim chance Syria will launch another attack before the vote. That would be suicidal on their part.

    Another chemical attack before or after the vote will make it very difficult for Russia to give them cover. Assad needs their backing and even Putin said they would back military action if there is conclusive evidence of a chemical attack.

    The president compared a no vote to America's reluctance to enter WWII. That is not good news, any way you look at it.

      ...that POTUS would continue assert that he hasn't abandoned his right as he sees it to order the strike. If I were he, I'd keep ships in the area for a couple of months and visibly send some drones overhead, maybe even release video of Assad's forces moving equipment.

      None of that compels him to actually order the strike. Assad could be logistically hobbled for quite some time no matter what Congress does. Which is the point.
