  •  An antidote to chickenhawk attacks? (4+ / 0-)

Is there some tool hereabouts that would protect me against getting jumped for my antiwar views by chickenhawk kossacks (which the kossacks in question should know damned well has been a consistent feature of my politics) who don't hesitate or mince words for a second in accusing me of applauding and endorsing the gassing of children.  It's twisted, deranged, the partisanship of sick minds and those utterly without a scrap of residual human decency.  Funny these same people didn't bash my antiwar views and call me baby-killer when I opposed Bush's wars.

Then there's the whole "baby-killer" trope.  You know, "baby-killer" has a very special place in the history of American veterans, but this one is particularly Twilight Zone-ish.  More than a bit interesting that this attack is being directed at me, a veteran, by those who unlike me had other options at 17 or 18 than the military service and chose to avail themselves of them.  Chickenhawks that call me, the vet, baby-killer because I oppose bombing cities.  Seriously, how warped is that?   And yet these are highly respected kossacks who engaged in these vicious, conscienceless personal attacks on me because I don't share the views of themselves and the administration about the grandeur and glory of American use of war and violence abroad.  Yeah, me the vet is the one with the conscience about the use of military force, and apparently that marks me the incarnation of evil around here.  Ain't that right you two?  How are your DD214s looking?  You don't have them?  You guys don't even know what a DD214 is?  (Psst.  It's the honorable discharge form, I have mine.)  See why I need an antidote to chickenhawk attacks?
